Assemble your mates and form a crew of bold explorers to embark on a quest of puzzles, hidden surprises and a search for buried treasure. Navigate through the park’s winding channels solving clues and challenges while competing for glory, bragging rights, and plunder along the way.
Teams
Teams of 3-6 adventurers work best. Each team should appoint a captain to help us relay crucial instructions.
Arrival & Check-In
Please arrive between 11:00-11:30AM for registration. We'll begin promptly at 11:30. We'll be set up on the Prospect Park peninsula across from the Well House.

- Portable phone charger - your device is your treasure map
- Comfortable walking shoes for park exploration
- Water & light snacks for the journey
- Weather-appropriate clothing (we hunt rain or shine!)
- Sunscreen and bug spray

Frequently Asked Questions
The Annual Prospect Park Treasure Hunt is a live, outdoor adventure through Prospect Park. Teams follow a trail of hidden QR code clues and puzzles, solving riddles as they explore the park. The fastest team to find all the clues and return to the starting point wins prizes. It’s a fun, interactive way to test teamwork, observation, and problem-solving skills.
The hunt is designed for adults but is open to all ages. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
No! You can sign up solo, as a pair, or with a full team. Solo adventurers and small groups will be matched with others on the day of the hunt.
Teams of 3–6 adventurers work best, but slightly larger or smaller groups are welcome.
The same hunt is run on two days to accommodate more players. We only allow folks to play one day, but you are always welcome to spectate or stop by to say hi.
The hunt happens rain or shine! We believe a little weather adds to the adventure. However, in cases of severe weather conditions, we will be in touch with all participants to ensure everyone stays safe.
All clues and puzzles are hidden as QR codes around the park. Scan each QR code to reveal your next challenge and location. Teams must solve the clues in order to complete the hunt. Once teams solve all the clues, they will be led to the final treasure.
The winner is the first team to complete all the clues and return to the starting area in the fastest time. Second and third place teams will also receive prizes. There are bonus challenges along the way that unlock extra rewards and take time off a team’s final score.
